Louisville International Airport

Koch Corporation is a leading specialty contractor in the FAA Airport Sound Mitigation Noise Reduction Quieter Home program using its own in-house sound mitigation team.

Project Description

Louisville International Airport is a public and military use public airport centrally located in the city of Louisville in Jefferson County, Kentucky, USA. The airport covers 1,200 acres and has three runways. In 2010, the airport and FAA began to implement renovations to approximately 1,200 homes surrounding the airport. Koch Corporation upgraded the “test house” for this initiative, and has since done the work on one phase of the homes participating in the Quieter Home Program. This project is being managed by C & S Companies, and is presently ongoing. In the homes that have been renovated in this phase one, Koch applied Vinyl windows by Sound Solutions and wooden windows by Marvin Windows and Doors.
